Reading this, the new year looks pretty bleak. In the last 3 seasons, we”ve sacked 2 of our best ever managers; player recruitment decisions have been questionable and the start to this season could have been avoided with better decisions at the top Our best players must want to leave; the rest don’t seem to have what it takes. Sacking Dyche would be mistake in my view. He has the club at heart and the nonsense from the boardroom isn’t his fault. Besides, in our situation we need a safe pair of experienced hands not other clubs’ cast-offs. Time to adjust expectations and do what we can to save this season, whatever it takes

Completely agree with this. What’s done is done but there’s no doubt that poor (expensive) recruitment and poor decision-making in the Boardroom early in the season has given us a mountain to climb now. We have quality players who work hard but also some who need shipping out to make way for motivated players eager to play, learn and win.

Unfortunately Championship not Champions League is the more likely…
I watch UReds from Ng24 these days for the last two decades,,Gary Megson was the final straw for me,,,after attending UReds from 67 until the afore mentioned idiot said it didn’t matter that our team was in the third level…So relegation is something l have witnessed on five occasions over the decades,,,,,but on this occasion l am quite disappointed that SD and his team don’t have a clue about changing our bad performances of late…So will Sean,,Ian and Stevie make the season out in The Premiership,,,?????If the answer is the trapdoor,,,the it’s the hatchet for the three of them….

What’s really a complete mystery is how both Burnley and Everton defied the odds for over a decade with our trio at both helms previously….But now re floating the Titanic seems a more realistic challenge…..

So whats the answer for UReds in2026????Hard work sweat and toil,,,plus perhaps a rub of the Blarney Stone maybe kind again…And…….Praying that we can keep clear of Messrs Jones and Taylor c/o The PGMOL for the next Twenty Weeks or so.

Other than that l will keep encouraging and being positive for UReds and Newark and Sherwood Utd Fc,,,in Step Five of the Pyramid Structure locally,,,who have had my total support for semi professional local team in United Counties Premiership North….
But wishing a wonderful 2026 to both clubs and fan’s alike,,apart from Newark Town who can keep their Carpet at the YMCA’s Village and get relegated please.

I agree entirely with George, this system he doggedly persists with is alien to this Forest team… surely he can see that!
He needs to let them play how they have been for two seasons, then, if necessary, he could start to implement his own style gradually, if he really has to, if Nuno’s style starts to fail. 🤷🏼‍♂️

In reply to Peter Stoneman. Absolutely. I was in the Trent End and could clearly see Nuno telling them to wait with the substitution and then the medical staff gave the thumbs up for Anderson to go off. It was however disappointing to hear boos at the end from supporters who, on the whole, have been magnificent.
