The fixture list for the 2022/23 Premier League season sees Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest play Newcastle United at St. James’ Park on the opening day
Nottingham Forest will play Newcastle United away on the opening day of the new Premier League season, as the Reds kick off their return to the top flight.
In their first Premier League season since 1998/99, Forest face the Magpies on 6 August before playing West Ham United on 13 August at the City Ground, followed by Everton at Goodison Park on 20 August.
Tottenham Hotspur at home and Manchester City away follow on 27 and 31 August respectively. The full list of fixtures can be viewed here.
The international break falls between 20 and 28 September, while the six-week break for the World Cup means there will be no games after the weekend of 12/13 November before resuming again on 26 December.
Ticket information will be released next month after the first the first batch of live televised fixtures have been confirmed.
The club announced yesterday that no further season cards will be sold as it ‘wants to minimise the future disruption caused to Season Card holders during the expected redevelopment of the Peter Taylor Stand, which will create a temporary reduction in capacity of the City Ground whilst works take place.’
Increased capacity for away supporters — up from 2,000 to 3,000 — due to Premier League regulations mean that some Bridgford Lower Stand season card holders have had to be relocated.
